Community Event: June 13, 2026 - Solterra Saturdays Outdoor Wellness Series - Saturday June 13
Solterra Saturdays is a ticketed outdoor wellness series at The Galaxy at Polaris, created to introduce the Solterra community before our doors officially open. Set in the outdoor amphitheater just steps from our future club, this summer series brings together fresh air, intentional movement, wellness activations, local partners, refreshments, retail, and community connection. Our first Solterra Saturday will be led by Megan Grospitch, one of Solterra’s yoga instructors. Megan will guide an outdoor power flow yoga experience designed to build heat, energy, and strength while remaining accessible for a range of levels. Guests will have an early opportunity to meet a member of the Solterra instructor team and experience the thoughtful, welcoming style that will define Solterra before the club opens. Beyond class, Solterra Saturdays will introduce the broader Solterra experience. Each date may include a rotating mix of wellness-aligned vendors and community activations, such as activewear shopping, mini massage or bodywork sessions, skincare consultations, fresh juices or wellness drinks, floral bar activations, custom Solterra beverage collaborations, Pilates accessories, Solterra merchandise, and other curated lifestyle offerings. Every Solterra Saturday will have its own feel, with final instructors, vendors, and activations announced as each date approaches. The setting makes this series especially meaningful. The amphitheater is located directly outside The Galaxy at Polaris, adjacent to Solterra’s future home on the second floor above Puttshack. These are among the first Solterra events being held at this location, and we cannot wait to begin gathering here with our future members, neighbors, and community. Join us for movement, fresh air, wellness, shopping, connection, and a first look at the Solterra experience. This is where the Solterra community begins to come to life.

Community Event: June 14, 2026 - Star Spangled Prints: Block Printing on Flag Day
Celebrate Flag Day by using sponges, potatoes, or foam to block-print stars onto muslin and/or paper. Free mini-Colonial flag to take home! Our theme is Flag Day! Celebrate using our American flag’s five-pointed star as a design element. In honor of America 250 and Flag Day, participants will print 5-pointed stars onto muslin and/or paper using paint or ink. The "blocks" will be precut into 5-pointed star shapes from sponges, potatoes, and foam. **Dress for mess! Additionally, each artist will receive a miniature Colonial 13-star flag to take home. Flag Day commemorates the date in 1777 when the Second Continental Congress officially adopted the design for the first United States flag. Flag Day was first celebrated in the late 1800’s, but President Truman made it official by signing legislation designating June 14 as National Flag Day. The congressional flag resolution stated that, "The flag of the thirteen United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new constellation." We have all heard how Betsy Ross made our first flag following George Washington’s design. He asked for the typical 6-pointed star but Betsy showed him how a 5-pointed star was easier to make by cutting with a single snip. We will demo that snip. This a free event, but donations are appreciated as they help us cover the operating costs of our museums. Cash, check or Venmo are welcome.

Community Event: June 15, 2026 - Kids History Hunters
An all-day program for kids in grades 2 through 6. We will focus on Delaware County’s early history: Native Americans and early settlers The goal of this one-day program for kids in grades 2 through 6 is to ignite a love of history in children, bring young people into our museum sites, and spark friendships amongst the children. We hope to offer three or four History Hunter programs this year, each with a different theme. For this first program, our theme will be America 250 and early Delaware County. Led by retired educators, the day will include music, dance, storytelling, corn grinding, tin smithing, calligraphy, and more. After we have welcomes, introductions, and an ice breaker, we will visit the Native American display at Meeker to talk about Prehistoric and Historic Indians in our county. We will play drums, and rattles during a Native American inspire and d dance call and response song. We’ll try our hand at corn-grinding. After lunch we will play a variety of Native American and pioneer games. In the afternoon we will explore the lifestyle of early European settlers. We will listen to a story of the Penry boys, try writing with quill pens and on slates, practice tin smithing and more. We need a minimum of 5 attendees in order to hold this event.
