Event Description:

The season opens with the first of the Season’s 40 Second Fanfares. Enjoy two exciting pieces by Sonia Morales, one of our favorite composers. Special guest artists are percussionists Rolando Morales (yes, Jaime’s brother) assistant conductor of Lion King on Broadway and World Percussionist of the Year and Yuri Morales, who will bring abundant Latin energy to the stage. Puerto Rican artist Maribel Delgado will perform Pajaides (Landscapes) on the cuatro, the guitar like national instrument of Puerto Rico. The concert will conclude with the beautiful and emotional Rachmaninoff Symphony No. 2.
