Name: Community Event: Central Ohio Symphony April Concert
Date: April 27, 2019
Time: 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM EDT
Central Ohio Symphony Season 40
Event Description:

Local Focus presented by PNC Arts Alive features artists with Delaware connections and a weeklong series of community engagement projects by the artists.

Pianist Jacob Miller will make his debut with us, his hometown orchestra, in Gershwin’s popular Concerto in F. Delaware native Frank Ruggles served for years as an official photographer of the National Park Service, the same post Ansel Adams held. Frank will make a film of his stunning imagery of America’s Nationals Parks shown at the concert, accompanied by music composed by Dr. Jennifer Jolley and Lauren Spavelko, both with connections to Ohio Wesleyan University. Experience America as few have been able to! The concert closes with the sweeping New World Symphony by Anton Dvorak, one of the most popular symphonies performed the world over. Our 40th Season finale will be a once in a lifetime concert you will not forget
